Awesome thank you, i want to turbo mine and it would be so much easier to purchase a kit than have to start from scratch. Do you happend to know what kind of boost the srt puts out with its supercharger?

My SRT6 is turbocharged.... nothing about my kit was easy. Everything is trial and error and custom made one-off.

My 2003 Audi A6 2.7T is turbocharged. IMHO, you'd probably find it easier and cheaper to add NOX.

You can not compare the SRT engine to the NA, it has different internals and was built for the extra pressure. The NA can not handle the kind of boost the SRT can.

i understand that they have bigger push rods betterseals piston rings etc (i have experience putting turbos on N/A cars before) but the block is still the same i would awesome and thaexts why i was asking about a kit so that way i wouldnt have to buy everything separate. i was looking at only running 12lbs of boost it would be nice to have around 300 at the crank.

Kleeman has there super charger at 05 bar (7.2 psi).. I'd say that is probably a good place to be safe.
Just to clarify that is a 9 grand upgrade for the NA..

9 thousand dollars for just parts ? i dont understand how material can cost that much, its just some metal , even machining it by hand wouldnt cost that much , then install? this is absurd! what is the power it puts out?

Yeah I was surprised myself.. seems I had read in an older thread it was 7500 at one point.. then I found it the other day and it was 9 grand.. advertised as adding 113 HP using 05 bar boost (7.2 PSI).
Think 5 grand of that is for the "Kleeman" label...

I think I have a good understanding why the current turbo project parted from the initial thoughts of using Kleeman for the tune..

Power output *was* ~330. If I recall, there was one guy on MB-World that dynoed his car (CLK 320) and saw mid 270's at the wheels. So, stock SRT levels.

Moot point, because I've spoken with Cory from Kleemann HQ on numerous occasions and the M112 supercharger program is dead. He said they only sold less than ten, ever. Simply not enough interest to keep the tooling on-hand. The entire M112 platform has been abandoned, and they've moved on to bigger fish like the M156 and the TT motor.

Finding a used unit would be the only hope, but then it's caveat emptor.

Cheers,

That is the problem, it is not just the parts, if it was, there would be 10+ turboed NAs driving around, instead of 2 or 3 that sit because the tuning could never be completed...
