Hey there,

I am based in the UK so please keep this in mind. I recently purchased a 2003 Crossfire but am really confused on what type of oil I should be using!
I have done some research and also tried searching on halfords website under my car type and they seem to suggest I should use 5w40 oil (which I bought today) but now after looking into more sites on the internet it seems to say that in the manual (don't have original one) it apparently says you have to use 0w40!
Therefore I am now completely lost and in all honesty I don't have a clue what the difference between those 2 are! I would appreciate if anyone that knows the correct information could let me know!

So the main thing I want to know is which one I should use and if I can use 5w40 I bought without it causing any problems? I figured its best to check instead of ruining my nice new car! Thanks

both Mobil1 0/40 and 5/40 are listed in the specs for the 3.2 MB engine .......

 

5/40 will be fine, I am going to try that next oil change
