That black Norton is beautiful. That's yours huh? Mine came in yellow but I painted it black, put a racing seat on it, **** canned the front fender and went fiberglass. I swapped out the controls for Tommiselli stuff, 1/4 turn throttle etc. More efficient head light. Tried Dunstall decibal silencers, had my own TT pipes made but ended up going back to the reverse cones. I had the head modified on a flow bench. Put in titanium where ever I could. Went with 11.5:1 pistons and bolted on a pair of 32mm Posifuel injectors. Ultimately I traded it straight across for a hot rod 67 Mustang fastback with a "72" built 302 in it. That I totalled out on Pacific Coast Highway.
A good deal was availiable when I was turning 26 so I bought the crossfire for myself back in 2008 as my daily driver.
Little did I know I would be sinking thousands of $$$ into it...

My name is Jeff and I'm an Alcoholic that just celebrated his 10th AA birthday.
Congrats, Jeff! I know what that means...I'm the child of an alcoholic...
Thanks Micheal. I haven't been a drinker most of my adult life but I re-visited it a few times with the same results. After two DUI's in an eight year period, I knew it was time to discontinue research and deveopement.
Would have to agree with you...I've learned not to drink and drive. I regularly turn down offers for beer, wine, etc., because I am driving...
If he's anything like me, he sure did !!!!!
I did a similar thing with a brand new '62 Triumph Bonneville, except I removed it from the crate and assembled it in the den ( after putting down lot's of cardboard ).
It was winter, so I had to try it in the house ........

Cafe racers are to race from cafe to cafe, not from green to checkered flag ....

Ever since Taco Bell gave me a free senior drink once, I get that too
Good looking bike. I don't know about those shorty mufflers though. I tried them with my custom TT pipes and it ran poorly.
But cafe to cafe in Amsterdam doesn't work too well. You just keep getting slower and hungrier.

I fired the Norton up in the living room- rebuilt the trans in the kitchen- and fried a lot of clutches on the highway.
Bike is not street ready. Shorties are on for pictures. Final mufflers are reverse cone OEM. I never use shorties or straight pipes. I like quiet powerful bikes. Not all noise and no go like HD. Gary
