While buffing the boot lid today, I almost removed the chrome "F" in CROSSFIRE. I see that these letters are glued on. I'd like to secure it before driving. Anyone know what type of glue works best for this? I'm thinking gorilla glue. but that foams up a bit.

 

NO! 3M automotive double-sided tape.

Only.

Maxci chon is correct . Get 3M double- sided tape at any auto store. Remove the cover and put one side on the back of the letter and then trim with a exacto knife. Then take off the other cover on the reverse side and place the letter in position. Make sure you get it where you want it before you press it firmly in place. If you screw up you will probably have to use a heat gun to remove it.

 

be careful removing the old glue. That stuff is on there...

 

I lost an "I" but the many friends here sent me one...now I can see....

This , when i was debadging my gti I wasn't careful and damaged the paint, remember It's glued and will take what ever paint it can with it
