Default New proud Owner - Winter Tires

At 7 tonigth I will pich up my new Crossfire coupe an hope to have a great time with it.

I could have had it before but before buying it, I wanted to make sure I could get real winter tires and my dealer, Trois Diamants Autos, found out that Continental is now producing a 19" winter tire.

I wanted to make sure because with the cold temperature and snow we get in Qubec You have to have winter tires.

Centaurv:

As soon as you have some info on the 19" winter tires, please post it!!!! They must be a brand new item, because there were none available last year.

Thanks. And have fun with your new car!!!!

hopefully the 19" are real winter (snow & ice) tires, not the all season tires...

The Continental site is not very up to date. It doesn't list the 19" ContiTouringContact (OE all-season) either, but we know they exist. If you go to the UK site, they do have some 19" winter tires, but they don't have a 255/35/19. The closest would be 245/35/19, which is listed as being "in preparation".

also found that there are 19" Blizzaks (LM-22). however they are 255/40/19. Would these work?

The 255/40/19 would be about 1" taller than the OE tires. I don't know if that would cause rubbing issues, but your speedo would be off some. The 245/35/19 would only be about 0.25" shorter and about 0.4" narrower.

Default Winter Tires

I do not have much information on them. I saw the order confirmation for the 4 tires at Trois Diamants Autos. They are not cheap 1500Can$. I Believe it was 600$ for the 2 front and 900$ for the 2 rear.

For more informations just contact my dealer by e-mail at troisdiamants@videotron.ca they could tell exactly what they are.

Good day to all.
