Game plan, or random assembly?
If you wish to go lower than that, it's time to find some OEM springs and start cutting. You will achieve the look you're going for, BUT you must also realize that the springs are outside of their engineered capacity and there are no guarantees on safety, handling, or tire wear at that point.
The more you trim from the springs, the more the suspension geometry is compromised. You reach a certain point where the negative camber can't be corrected, and you'll eat tires like M&M's.
In short, the lowest you can go with a "purchased" kit is 2".

Well if your goal is to get low low then i would say cutting coils off stock or srt springs for a tighter feel and then get konis. The coilovers that are for our car are not easily adjustable. You have to go through the same process as cutting springs just to adjust them. and i saw somewhere their lowest setting and it was not much better than springs. Cutting coils is easy, free, and from my experience totally safe on our cars ive taken mine out and cut them about 10 time trying to slowly get to my perfect fitment. The only downside is camber and a rough ride which doesnt bother me at all. i enjoy it

Here's my thread and i was already informed that if i want my car lower then go all the way or don't do it at all
Which was Why my op was "if I had the money" , I don't have a spare1k just lying around haha
But thanks for the added info , I'll be with my xf for a few more years so I got time
https://www.crossfireforum.org/forum...ngs-legit.html
The only downside is I don't wanna cut them , I don't have the patience or tools to do it -_-
Are the srts stock springs lower then my limited?

Not lower just stiffer i believe, and ill probably get attacked for this but i have spent 250$ on lowering only because i bought rear camber arms to save my 300$ tires but you dont need all that junk... All you need is a $30 grinder that i bought from walmart and some good friends. Havent changed my shocks, theyre a little bouncy but not blown yet and its that simple... nothing else is needed. If you need help i can walk you through it or theres a thread called lowered my car for $26.65 and its a really good write up.
Well i will definitely pm when I'm ready to attack the suspension, I just got paid today so I'm actually getting all the stuff I need for Plastidipping the car and lighting I actually think I'll be doing suspension last since that seems to be the most expensive of all the mods shy from the engine
Plan, John?
I haven't had a plan since I asked Maryjane Rottencrotch to help me find my wallet under the bleachers.
It worked, though!

Yes , I'm doing it in white , I wanted to do Camo green but my fiance talked me out of it lol
To bad they only sell black in stores It's actually cheaper
When It's done I'll prolly do a write up
So i guess I can say I actually have a plan

Please tell me your getting the whole car kit from dipmycar.com and not rattle can right? i know a lot about this stuff and was thinking about doing it next year. Deff want to see it though!
If it works I'll get more for the hood if it doesn't then I'll be getting the pro car kit and peel and re do it , that's the best part about plastidip , there's no downside haha
I'm on the dipyourcar forum aswell and I've done some research , the rattle cans work but most people have problems with the hood causing zebra stripes , I'm gettin 4 cans of white first to see how it works on all panels except the hood

I agree, ive tried the hood and roof on my friends jetta and it was such a fail no matter what we did. Me and my buddy are splitting a pro kit after xmas and well see what happens, i think for longevity you deffinatly want the pro kit but GL with the rattle cans. Your fingers are gonna hurt lol
My fingers hurt , then fonzie posted a video two weeks ago of a new aersol can holder and was selling it on his site for 8$ I went to ace hard ware and bought the same one for 4$ and used it two weeks ago to spray my grill , works great and my hands didn't hurt haha suggest if you or anyone reading this post go get it !
It's called can gun 1 , so I'm already prepared lol
If your not using the glossifier plasti-dip and only the matte white then it will turn out fine rattle can. You will have some sore fingers but they make attachable guns for that...
... I may or may not know a little about this.. and if I did, it may or may not be linked in my sig.
The time it took my slow butt to post, you both negated everything I had to say.... Where is our facepalm emoticon. lol

lol ya we did the same thing one time, personally maybe i got a shitty one but i didnt like the handle. but ya it can be done i suppose the most annoying thing about a can is when it spits and messes it up, the worst.
Sorry for thread jacking and making this a Plastidip thread lol
But here's the link , I love the guys at dipyourcar.com but honestly they are over priced
Sprayer Guns - Paint Sprayers - Ace Hardware
1can of paint at dip your car is 6.85 plus sh+h
1 can of dip at home depot 5.48 plus tax
For me doing a whole car that saves me a few bucks. Downside is they only sell black in stores :/

I agree... I wipe the nozzle each coat to try and keep it cleared up, then spray the ground a little before hand to make sure it should be ok. It minimizes spits but they are impossible on cans to eliminate.
That means the nozzle is either clogged , your almost empty or the can is not at the right temperture
I'd say I have a vision but that is about it
. As much as I love the car the biggest issue is really the lack of aftermarket support. There is only so much planning you can do while waiting for a new MB model that may have parts you can scavenge.
I have a similar philosophy as far as performance / aesthetics go though. Performance + Asthetics outweighs either individually and dictate decisions. There are always exceptions but for the most part if there is not a check in both columns the item moves down the list.
Things like brakes, wheels, suspension all fit into both columns but then you still have to make sure they stay there. I would not get better looking wheels if they were way heavier and didn't allow for bigger rubber etc.
The issue for me right now is that I have a couple things done and I am at the crossroad of more show or more go.
If the $&!?ing turbo would ever be done the choice would be easy..more go. But because that's not on the table what to do? After the dragon I really got the itch for visual changes. Right now I'm basically in a stock crossfire with rims, sitting beside 50 others there wasn't really anything that made mine stand out. (Other than the horrendous squeak coming from the passenger control arm, now fixed
)
Because of our lack of options really my best choice as I see it is brakes. Getting rid of those ugly stock calipers and getting something slotted and/or drilled would step the looks and performance up......but do I really want to spend a couple grand when the current setup stops me just fine? I'd rather have a bit of need for more stopping power before upgrade. I could get an intake, tune and such but that seems like throwing cash away when/if the turbo comes. That leaves me with visual mods but throwing an SRT bumper on, maybe some changes to the silver accents, spoiler/strake mods leaves me in all show no go territory (although that is basically the story of the NA in general)
I'm thinking with the cold weather and stock wheels going on a bit of plstidip experimenting should hopefully help me scratch the itch and keep me satisfied for a couple months on the cheap. Hopefully at that point there will be some options.
