ebay carbon fiber
Thanks to sk8rjosh and his youtube video I've been a little inspired to do this, I'm thinking of installing carbon fiber trim to my interior dash
I found the one he recommended for 130$ on ebay but then I saw this one
Dash Kit Decal Auto Interior Trim Chrysler Crossfire 2004 2008 | eBay
For only 30$ , the images leave me to think it'll work just as well but i would like some opinons
And also wondering if anyone has vinyl wrapped the xf on here , I saw some carbon fiber vinyl wrap for the roof and hood and would like to know how well it would hold (on my roof )
Thanks in advance

From videos and website research the company r vinyl makes mostly products that don't use adhesives (atleast their pre cut tints don't use them)
I'll double check the website but if they do use 3m I think a $100 savings would be great , either way I want my interior to look like carbon fiber!!

Thanks, sir.
It is a major PITA in our cars. There is such tight clearances around the switches and especially the Hazard lamp, that even with my wife and I heating and stretching the vinyl (to make it as thin as possible) the switches still, on occasion, drag or stick. I wont even go into doing the center A/C vents and the concave section around the center switches.
It's coming off this winter and I'm painting the whole works. Dark Charcoal Metallic with satin clear. There really is about the same amount of prep work and time involved, so WTH?
And, I'm a God with a rattle can!

That is a good way to go... Personally I like the silver edging though. And with the taller trim all of my buttons are flush and I would buy another for more money anyday. I am going to do the wrap job maxcichon showed for my shift **** and pillars. The headliner "Boiler" got is the one to compliment it all.
Thanks, sir.

One last thing to anyone planning on doing a wrap job like this:
Primer, primer and uniformly applied...primer.
I'm talking about adhesive primer. Do a Google search for "Vinyl wrap adhesive promoter". I got mine at Fastenal. Surprisingly, they had the best price. It comes in a pint can and these little "lipstick" applicators.
3M Primer 94 Vinyl Wrap Adhesion Promoter Half Pint Size | eBay
And, it does NOT harm the silver paint when used. I "tested in a small inconspicuous place". Just like the instructions suggest.

Yep.
Your wife sent hers. And some interesting photos.
Smart Alec!
No, just a straight paint job with no embellishments. I thought of body-color, but the missus' vetoed that. We're too old for a Blaze Red interior. I guess...

Fyi.. the one in the garage.. well that's not a torque wrench hanging in the corner..
And after one he!!uva' lot of careful work.
And, yes, it was all prepped properly. I like the look, but when you know your best work wasn't good enough...
I apologize for the crude remark, but what are you talking about? What garage? Please tell me!
Ah ! I get it now ...
You two are swapping wifey pictures preparatory to a potential wife-swap .....
( isn't there a reality show for that ? )
