Is your XF in storage?
As one that has lived in Minnesota for 50 years, I can relate with what you're feeling but consider this...
The winter solstice has passed. The days ARE getting longer, there's MORE sunshine and spring, which may be aways off for some, IS on it's way.
Hang in there!
Oh, and Merry Christmas!

I drive mine every day of the year as long as there isnt any snow or ice on the ground. If it has precipitated the night before and is at or below freezing temps then I just take the Jeep. Otherwise its the roadster every day.
S. Carolina? I highly doubt that your XF's in winter storage.
You guy's are probably still para-sailing in Charleston.

I store both Crossfires and my 82 Firebird every winter, from early November till end of March. The great thing about that is when they come out of the garage, I get that new car feeling all over again.
Awesome!
I had an 84 Firebird similar to yours and really enjoyed that car too.
Mice have entered the garage and found the bird seed, bummer. The bait from the trap was lifted overnight so I have to adjust it to a hair trigger. But the last thing I caught with a trap with a hair trigger was my finger. I could put the cat in the garage but she would freeze her a$$ off.
I have to remind myself that I am smarter than they are. My fault for putting the seed in there in the first place, so maybe I'm not so smart after all.

Mine has been hibernating in the garage since Thanksgiving. She'll come out to stretch her legs on my birthday in March. Hopefully the weather will play nice by then.
Yea Yea! Every day it is nice and dry out. Take it easy in the freezing temps.
Put the Crossfire and 65 Corvair to bed end of Oct. (snow already on ground) and hopefully have them out early May. Today, 18" snow on the ground and -26 C. Almost to cold to go sledding. Merry Christmas all!
Mine is in semi-hibernation. On dry days above 40 deg F I'll take it to work. I don't like letting it sit for long periods of time without some run time. Other than that, it's in the garage until approx April.
mine is a semi-daily. one week we drive my car, the next week we drive the wife's firebird. The Plymouth doesnt see the road from november until march or april though.
