It has been a great ride
I didn't realize how right you were. The Cobra was an AC Ace with V8, The GT40 was a Lola chasis with a Ford Engine. And I also owned a Triumph Spitfire and a Jaguar XJS V12. Can't believe I haven't learned my lesson yet to stay away from British cars! I bought an '89 becuase GM owned Lotus at that time and so the electronics are simple GM. The brakes are toyota as well as the tail lights. the car seems very simple to work on except the car is so small and low. Had to work on the heater today and learned about the Lotus Posistion! Head under dash with feet out the sunroof. When I am done this car will be low maintainence and bulet proof realiable, thanks mosty to Ford engine.
Don't be a stranger Bob...keep us updated on your build... I still love my cars....even though there for awhile, the vette was calling me....I got over it for now...
