Wierd engine shutdown on two cylinders problem
Wierd engine shutdown on two cylinders problem
Hi,
Hope someone out there might have come accross this problem before.
04 Crossfire, 70k miles, std apart from replacement K & N filters & LPG install.
Had the car for 15k miles, and never missed a beat, then while driving in traffic noticed that it had no 'power' had to coax it to ger over 55mph, felt like it wasn't running on all cylinders. Switched off the lpg so that it was only on petrol - no difference.
Put in mates pro garage, LPG completly disconnected to isolate that - no difference.
On computer - showing injectors shutting down on two cylinders. swapped coil pack over, replaced 2 dodgy leads, still same two cylinders showing problem. Compression tested - all cylinders the same. new spark plugs, wiring tested for continuity, fuel rail pressure tested - all ok, swapped injectors overfrom other 'good' side - still getting problem on origional 2 cylinder. Though i'd exhausted everything else - must be the ecu - put into specialists to check, and has come back as no problems.
Mechanic is stumped, as am i, any ideas where to go from here ?
