Undercoating?
Greetings all, I still have yet to get my "new" car out of the garage due to the extended disgusting winter here
But have noticed pretty well the entire chassis is undercoated including wheel wells and rear tow hook. Would this be factory? It looks like it is as the parts that shouldnt be coated are not. Just curious. Thx.

I suppose what I should have said was, are crossfires undercoated at the factory? I'm surprised nobody has chimed in here, come on ya'll are like X-Fire rocket scientists afterall. 
Mine are the same (white) as the car also...but, there does appear to be some sort of rubberized coating all inside the rear fender wells and what parts I can see under the car. I would have to assume that this is something from the factory. I've looked at several other Xfires and they all appear the same

I'm not sure, but I think it's a "chip resistant" PVC coating, that serves a dual purpose as a sound deadening material as well.
It looks just like the coating that's on the rocker panels of our 91 Miata.
