The court date isn't until sept.
Was this what a lawyer told you to do? Just curious.

It's not legal here in Delaware either but the law is above the law. My word against his is a loosing proposition. At 101 you lose your license here, first offense or not so I got off easy and there's no way I would contest this.

TWIMC, just got out of court.
Verdict?
90 days probation (ticket free).
On-line drivers safety course.
$300 fine.
Ticket is excused.

Not bad IMO. I think it's fair.
Hope all y'all are doing good.
I'm enjoying the Z3 though it's not as sturdy as the XF.
Take care.

LOL what? Gimme a break, the 60mph speed limit is so antiquated its hilarious. Speed limits are about generating revenue for the state. Meanwhile, even econobox's are now equipped with 200hp little turbo 4 bangers that will do 150mph.

Our system is outdated but its OK as what used to be about safety, is now a way for the American tax payer to get fleeced. Everywhere, nickle and diming you into paying some fee or penalty. Its BS of the highest magnitude.

Seatbelt laws? LOL Yes seatbelts save live, but if you think the law is anything more than a cash grab you're delusional.

I for one would like to see the Google self driving cars go into effect in the next ten years. No more traffic jams, cars will be able to do 80, 90, 100 safely as there won't be any lane cutting jackasses, basically, get in the car, lay back, read a paper, watch TV.

Oh but the government doesn't want that, you know, because they make BILLIONS in speeding and traffic offenses. What a joke.

I just retired after 35 yrs of being around law enforcement... Some people can handle driving at that speed most can't period. Especially today with even more distractions. If you do the crime you pay fine....simple as that. It generates revenue alright. My department received 18% back and went into our training fund. Not salaries. The court gets a cut, and the county or state depending on charges gets a cut that goes into a transportation fund...roads.... I don't think your self driving is anywhere close to happening in the Midwest. Hell, they can't decide on mass transit let a car network.... Very few traffic laws have federal involvement althought NTSB does monitor accidents on the freeways. Most recent study has raised all the speed limits in the Midwest to either 65 or 70....when all use to be 55....
