Interior dome light

Interior dome light
I recently bought an 05 coupe limited and love the car. The only problem is the interior dome light stays on when in the automatic position. Anyone experience this before and how can I fix it. Thanks for your help.

The dome light remains on as a warning if rear hatch is not closed properly
