Foggy lights
No, not fog lights, headlights .
It has been raining here in beautiful Michigan on and off for the past week. I got out of my car today and noticed that the lower half of my headlights were fogged up. Has anyone else seen this? Luckily they did not stay fogged up, but I don't think this should be happening. Let me know if you have had a similar experience or have any idea what I might do to solve this slight problem.
Thanks.

Hey DG, both me and my sister's x-fires did that for the first couple of days when we brought them home. Mine did it really bad on the drivers side, but I haven't noticed it since. As far as my sister's x-fire is concerned it has done it off and on. Just thought I let you know because our cars were probably right next to each other while waiting in port.
All projector style headlights will do this. They are vented at the bottom of the housing. Projector headlights are a completely different design than sealed beam or halogen. That is why when you turn on the lights it goes away. There is no fix for this.
We've had rain for three days straight here too!!
I also noticed the fog inside the headlight lens. The heat of the projector lamps took care of it.
My car is now one month old....I was about to call the dealership the following day but notice the fog was gone. I assume there is a small vent somewhere in the assembly.

Hello from the Pacific Northwest,
Foggy lights are normal in humid wet conditions. I have had them on my VW, Subaru and other cars too. No problem though, with the heated confines of the headlight package, the cooling down will cause the fog, it will go away of course when the lights dry it out.
