Ok, had noticed knocking from front n/s going over bumps.
so i jacked her up placed lever under tire & with an assistant moved wheel up & down i could then see play in the balljoint.
Hope this might help others with same noise.
Pictures show difference between left & right. Gap much Smaller in righthand picture,the bad one.
