Chrysler 2.7 engine trouble....
Just turned 2000 miles.
Thinking about the first oil change. Read in the LA Times today 12/15/04 about the 2.7 engines in the Concord, Sebring, and Intrepid models. It seems they're having oil sludge problems that cause the engine to seize. Chrysler has had over 500 complaints of peoples engines seizing & are not replacing engines even under warranty. They're saying it's neglect on the part of the customer. Yikes!
I'm glad we are powered by Mercedes but I will be diligent about changing my oil.
I've read up on the previous posts about when to change the oil. Thanks to all of you & the continuous wealth of information.
