Thank you, that is the problem with memory, sometimes it remembers the rong thing. Let's just say that I have found premiun german radios (whether Blauplunct or Becker) to be good radios for their era.

However modern radios are both inexpensive and have features that did not exist in the last century (though a premium '07 automobile without an aux jack did seem strange when most had by '04).

Also the same full featured BT radio that was $150 a year ago is more like $100 now. Economies of scale.

So there are a lot of choices out there even for radios that did not have aux jacks. I just went for something that others here had said worked well and looked good way back in 2013.

MB has been using Becker for decades. They were never any good.

One of the few things (HVAC was the other) that always broke on the older models.

I will keep mine... In a box! In case the next owner wants to go back to stock.

Otherwise I'm very happy with the $150 swap to BT XM iPhone/Siri pandora iHeart integration.

If you're looking for an easy hands-free phone solution for your car without replacing the factory radio, you can try using a Bluetooth FM Transmitter. These devices plug into your car's cigarette lighter and connect to your phone via Bluetooth, allowing you to make calls and stream music through your car speakers.

Some good options include:
  • GOgroove FlexSMART Bluetooth FM Transmitter (
    Amazon Amazon
    )
  • Mpow Streambot Y Wireless Bluetooth FM Transmitter
Alternatively, if your car has an AUX input, a Bluetooth to AUX adapter can be a better solution since it provides clearer sound without FM interference.

By the way, if you're in need of a free government tablet, check out Free Government Tablet to see if you qualify for a free tablet under government assistance programs.

Hope this helps! 🚗📱
