Exclamation Need help

Right as i was about to purchase my new (to me) 2004 coupe, it got sideswiped in front of the current owner's house. All cosmetic damage which was fixed by the owner. The only part which could not get replaced was the little red light on the driver's side rear. i believe it's a side break light. The part is apparently backordered throughout the country and it can't be found anywhere else. It is very frustrating as i really want to buy this car, but do not want to drive it around with a missing light.

Has anyone else had to replace this light? Where can i order one? Anyone parting-out their wrecked Xfire??

All help will be appreciated!

She just emailed me! She also told me that hunting down parts is a huge hassle and told me that it is a lot of work for a 17 year old if anything goes wrong with the car. Guess i won't be getting my Xfire after all.

These cars aren't "known for falling apart".. but you do need to have a cash reserve / funds available for just in case.. Good tires and quality battery alone will set you back close to a grand.

So true, my man. I just got mine and I have already dropped $200 in a battery, got a $75 oil change coming (if I do it myself), a $15 high beam bulb, $60 for new rotors, $100-115 for one left front tire, and those are just things that have to be done. On top of these, my interior lights don't work, my old ignition is hanging from the dash due to the stupid antenna ring after replacing it, key fob battery needs replacing so my locks aren't working properly, and man I hate buying expensive gas for this miniature beast. Gosh, these cars are so fun!

He did say "good" and "quality", which can easily reach $1k
( not that MrM is likely to blow that, he'd go the el cheapo route, trust me )

I would say that $650 is about as low as you could go on 4 tires and a battery though.

$100 (before mounting) for each front tire, and between $200-$300 for each rear, along with $160 battery... That is easily approaching a grand
