My number is 2301. Just checked the VIN from my insurance records. I wish it was a model like 10K+ so the early "bugs" would have been worked out. Thanks for the note on the seat. I was simply reading the manual and thought that the manual stated both seats were 8 way. The radio being dim is the biggest headache so far. I can live with the power window switch issue. I will search for the "fix-it-yourself" post. I figured the headlamp switch was something such as what you are suggesting. Thanks for the recall link too... One final thing... the spoiler. I read everywhere that you can manually raise and close the spoiler with the switch. I do not like the auto deploy/retract feature so, I typically manually raise the spoiler and keep it up full-time. I have read where when you retract the spoiler manually and hear a beep, this will keep the spoiler from deploying on it's own (i.e. you can drive the car at 57+ without the spoiler deployed.) and it doesn't work for me. Did I read this feature incorrectly? Can you turn the spoiler off with the switch so that it doesn't deploy at speeds over 57+?

Thanks for all of your help.

The automatic portion of the spoiler cannot be shutoff with the switch.

Here's another place you can look for recall information. It also includes Chrysler "customer satisfaction notices."

It looks like you need to have your radior hose checked to make sure it isn't rubbing on the fan shroud. That was another early build issue.

Backward window switches. Did the dealer switch them around the way they should be?

Corroded interior instrument cluster. Chrysler tech service said to use left of speedo button often to see if it frees itself???

To answer your last question re auto deployment of the spoiler at speed; the answer is NO; you can have it up all the time but other than circumventing the electrical, you have to put up with the deployment at speed; suppose to be a safety thing with this car.
Hope that helps.

Yeah, someone else already told me that... I saw a guy cruising down to Sarasota the other day. He was doing at least 70mph and the spoiler wasn't deployed. I assume there is a fuse we can pull or he simply disconnected the motor. I will look into the fuse situation and see if my local guru can devise a shut-off switch for me. I don't plan on keeping the spoiler off if I am driving in excess of 70 mph. It makes sense to keep it up at higher speeds, but 60 and below... it would be nice to have it down all the time. I'll let you know what I come up with, if anything.

the spoiler comes up when it is NEEDED for downforce. It would be a BAD idea to mess with it at all. It is not there for looks, even at 60 mph.

So far there haven't been any actual safety recalls on the Crossfire. I don't know of anywhere you can get a complete list of service bulletins, at least not for free. You can get some of them from the NHTSA website.
the Second part for Europe works on my car. It is parking light for one side only. Each side will light independently

Jeff - I think C_Plunkett was talking about pulling the switch out once for the front fogs and out a bit further for the rear fogs. That's how my wife's slk230 is. Not the right and left side parking kights.

I had to have the spoiler switch replaced. My spoiler would go up automatically, but never come down. Other than that, the car has been pretty solid.

In six months, nothing, zero, nada...and I hope it stays that way. (Except for a dead battery last week because I left my trunk not fully latched for a few days - but that's me not the car).

WOWW! Hard to believe it is the same car as mine! Maybe you got a bad one or: In the dealerships that I use, there is only one guy at each that works on the Xfires. If yours is not very good, that could be your issue! Have you tried another dealer?

Thumbs up Re: Problems with the Crossfire by your build number

I have had my Roadster now for 7 months have yet to have any problems thus far. While living on Long Island I didn't get to drive her much, but since I've moved to Virginia I have been putting the car to the test. The only time I have been to the dealer was to pick up a front end cover and a wind screen.
