Default Used/Unwanted Crossfire Accessories

Looking for one of these: Retractable boot cover. If no one has one they wish to sell, where can I find the cheapest supplier of these?

They aren't cheap whatsoever. It is a Mercedes quality piece. I got mine at the dealer several months ago. You might try www.moparsupercenter.com. $228.92 there.

Yip... Mopar SuperCenter has them... $228 and in stock.

I hope to run across one on Ebay or on this forum. I have to assume that someone out there doesn't like it. I simply want something to hide the scuba gear .

Hey that pic is of my one!

They are easy to install, my dealer did it before I picked the car up but they left the install instructions in the trunk and it looked really simple. It is Ł250+install (install is Ł75 per hour) here in the UK. I bartered as I had it done when I got the car and got it for half that and no install cost.

If you ask me it should be a standard item on the car. I used to have a BMW Z3 M Coupe and that had one of these as standard. Without it there is no security for your items in the boot, any passer-by can see in.

Yeah, I found the picture out on Ebay.uk

The only real picture I could find. I am sure it is quite easy to install. It's probably like any other hatchback security blanket.

the install took me about 2 hours but i am **** retentive with the end result and attention to detail.

one would never remove a cargo cover after install b/c you must drill a few holes into the factory plastic trim and cut two small holes in your carpet to locate pre-drilled threaded attachment holes.

i have a couple of good photos in my gallery of the cover and parts prior to install.

I also took about two hours to install the cover. I bet I could now do it in under one hour. Just go over the instructions first and make sure you have everything you need handy. Good luck on the install if you get the cover.

If you search this site.... I remember seeing detailed pictures of the process and pictures of the instructions. Installing one of those is on my to-do list.

I think you can make a custom cover for half as much and less weight just use snaps or velcro. I saw and held this factory one and it's very heavy and really no reason to retract just fold back. When you get something out and recover!

Hey Andrew... Where did you get the cool Crossfire logo for the hood? I would like one for mine. Getting rid of everything on the car that says Chrysler is a must .

I think I will go ahead and order the factory "hide my crap" cover from Mopar Supercenter. I can probably get my neighbor-kid to install it for me for a few mp3s. His father owns a Ferrari so, I think the whole family appreciates quality and won't have anything to worry about. (Knocking on wood.)

yeah, I bet a home made cover would be a great addition.... not, that would really lower the value. there is no substitute for being cheap.

I didn't mean homemade like tacos, I meant made at a upholstery shop do you know what those are? And the only thing that will help resale is to put a cashiers check for $5,000 in the glove box!

they are made of a high quality durable adhesive avery vinyl. the process is "thermal imaging" for a multi-color one dimensional surface. the decal adheres over the factory badge. they will be 35. for all six decals. (blurry photo)

Very cool. I sent you a private message.

What other designs do you have available? I would like to see something silver and black with Crossfire. Any other ideas floating around in your head?
