Hey guys... sorry for not being as active this past year.. the car seemed to have one problem after another, showing its age at 102k... so I came to the pivotal moment: car is paid off, got the title.. but, with, just over 100k miles, it was time to start replacing parts.. just put $1000 into maintenance but still needed headliner, front end work, brakes, tires... cosmetically beat up and needs some serious touchup if not a whole respray... so do I fix it up, add parts and mods that are worth more than the car, keep it forever?

Well, then my carbon fiber hood broke.. years of wind buffeting finally got to one of the eyelets on the hinges.. that was my favorite part of the car and now I'd need to find a shop to repair it or put back my steel hood....

Well, we all know how this ends. Found a deal I couldn't pass up on a beautifully maintained 2013 Dodge Challenger SRT8 Core, 392 V8 4.6L Hemi, 6 Speed, 6k miles, 4 year warranty left, Vanishing Point white, 470HP and Torque...

Farewell my sweet Crossfire, thanks for all the good times! I'm sure I'll miss the car, I might be back to the family someday in a SRT6 convertible.. you know, when I want a lazy top-down cruiser..

Very Nice!! I love the Challengers in white!! A bad A$$ Whip! On a side note, my C.F. hood started to crack, Got it fixed, I have hood pins I hope it helps. A guy that worked on mine said the hood is junk, cheaply made... Oh well.

I should've gotten hood pins but I thought I was okay.. it always moved around on the highway but I never noticed any cracking by the latch or anything.. apparently I was looking for damage on the wrong end!

Very nice LY 392! You rarely see a white 392, which makes it very unique! I would of gone the same route, had I been in the market for a Chally, but bought the white Sport Ram last year (with the Chally hood) with the same mind concept. Very cool, thanks for sharing!

 

The Challenger seems to be the de rigueur car of choice of more and more X Crossfire patriots. I can fully understand why.

I went from a 2006 Charger R/T to a Crossfire (I do miss the torque of the Hemi!). I plan on getting a 20012-2013 SRT8 392 Charger in a few years, this Crossfire is a hold me over car.

 

So far, I'm loving the Challenger.. I do miss the rarity of the Crossfire a bit... and I'll tell you, that German stepchild had some solid build quality with regards to fit and finish.. the Challenger, well 'Murica so who cares, right?

 

Hi all, regarding the Chrysler Crossfire SRT 6, lots of people comment on these being a new classic and that they is interest in trying to upgrade a std crossfire into a SRT 6 which will not work?
but if you know some that is interested in a factory SRT 6 that is supercharged, I have heard that they is going to be one in New Zealand, a RHD one that is going to come up for sale
in the coming weeks, In New Zealand they use a web site call "trademe" so spread ther word and keep your eyes open and tell anyone looking.
