Question Buying a new coupe limited

Hi,

Considering buying a 2006 Coupe limited with 98K on it from a car dealership. How much should I pay for it? Thanks in advance.

If you listen to the dealer, you'll be financing it at an exorbitant interest rate.
If you are wise, you'll pay cash that you have on hand, or from a loan from your 401K in which the interest goes back into your account. ( you pay interest to yourself ). These loans generally have a small fee, and don't overlook that you will generally need to ask for 20% more cause that 20% is automatically sent to the Feds as tax on taxable income.

( why is a 'sage' asking for financial advise anyway ? )

Prices for our cars are at a all time low at the moment. Cars with less than 40k miles are going for less than $8k. With 96k miles, you could probably get it for $5.5k to $7k.

Good luck, and you will love your Crossfire.

Thank you both for your replies. @ axa_xfire not asking for any financial advice. Just seeking some insight from the experts on the forum on purchase prices. In regards to "Sage" a wise person does not know everything and they are wise enough to know that.

Duh ! Went back and re-read your first post again.
My aging brain read "how much should I pay for it" as "how should I pay for it"
My apologies, getting old is a be-aach.

All good! Thanks. I know the feeling. My teenaged kids are aging me on a daily basis.

We have a 2005 ragtop Limited with at the time 80000 miles, we had it in for service at the Chrysler dealership ( to have the top replaced under warranty) and they offered us 6500 for it, several years later and we still have it and still love it, it now has 108000 miles.

Just purchased a pristine, one owner 2006 limited coupe, 52,000 miles, from dealer fpr $9300. White..cedar interior. nav radio.

The car has meticulous dealer service records, looks brand new, and has new tires.

Vould have cars for less with more miles and some small nicks...love this one.
