You have discovered warm water, can you tell us how you did it?

All of our cars still intervene when driven really hard.

Ok, you guys talked some sense into me, that was kinda the purpose of this thread, but what sealed the deal for me was that I'm about to get married and getting a new car is the last thing my significant other wants me to do.

So in order to keep this car a while longer I have to do a couple of things to it.

1. I NEED a cheaper supercharger than the one offered by Kleemann, any sugestions?
2. I hate my catback sometimes, it's too boomy, I'm getting the Mopar one since it's easier to get than the Borla version, any comments on that one?
3. I need to stiffen the suspension a bit, the first thing I'd like to do is put some sway bars in, but Eibach doesn't sell them anymore for this platform, any sugestions? I'm also getting a Koni/Eibach setup.

As long as this cars continues to be a "project" I'll be fine.

Many of your comments are right and I appreciate them all.

I'm with you MEXICANCROSSFIRE...no matter how fast your car is - the fun of having a fast car depends on how many projects you can put on it. It's just a man thing!

Lucky for me, I won the Ebay auction on the chrome front grill and side mirror covers for $96 and $98 bucks only. That's my latest addition in my XFIREX. I've been thinking very much of upgrading my wheels but eveytime I see it..it just looks perfect in my XFIREX!

Maybe one day I'll find the perfect wheel for XFIREX.

Yeah stiffer, If you really push the car there's a lot of roll in the body and that upsets cornering quite a bit.

I don't worry about skipping CD's since I listen to music trough and iPod, otherwise you may have a point there.

This man has a point.

X'ed as others have stated my traction control still comes on when in the off mode, during hard 1-2 shifts. And agressive launches.

And to mexicancrossfire, the slowess of the crossfire drove me crazy too. The 350z is alright, but you still may luster for more power. I have owned 4 mustangs, and have not had one problem with any of them. 2000 Mustang GT, 2002 Mustang GT, 2003 Mustang Cobra And 2003 Mustang Mach 1. You can not go wrong with the new mustang GT. After the hype goes away, 1-2 Years, I will be selling the SRT-4 and may get a Mustang GT, or a new cobra. But definetely get the stang over the 350z, the new stang has as much bling bling value as the crossfire. Though you still have to watch out for us SRT-4's:-D. But just with pullies and a remap for premium fuel have been able to hit low 13's. For the 5-speed GT. I would have bought one but it was over 10k more than my SRT-4. And I had to keep the XF, if not I surely would have gotten the GT.

Don't waste your money in a supercharger for a lathargic outdated platform. Considering warranty voided, and you still say at best knock of a second and half the 1/4 mi time. so mid 13's. A lightly modded stang or srt-4 will still pull on you.

Can't go wrong with the SRT-4 for price, l love mine, and can't go wrong at all with the GT. But if you want all out speed with handling on the back burner, go with a 03-04 Cobra as you can get those for mid-20's with low miles in great shape. If you want an all around performer check out the STi. As that is the true car of choice for me. No lag like the evo.

Just my .02

In the crossfire you CANNOT shut down the ESP. There is a button on the dash that lets you shut off the Traction Control, but thats it. The ESP is always on.

You must just not have pushed the car hard enough to experience the ESP.

My ESP has kicked in a couple times... mainly when I'm spinning the tires while the car is either not moving, or moving very slowly... ie. spinning the tires in the rain, or to get up a hill in the snow (only tried driving in the snow once).

I've also drifted my car though corners with no ESP interference.

My 1963 factory supercharged Avanti has one of these and they are still made today. I'm sure something could be set up for the xfire, however you will also have to mod the injection system to keep from burning too lean and melting down a piston or two...
