most HID head lights have that blue look to them, like mercedes lexus etc. but the crossfire has ones that give a very white light. anyone know whats up with that?

yeah I know. I didn't mean to sound facetious, of all the things to cheap out on they cheaped out on the lights, $300 is all it would have cost them. Oh well.

i just asummed that it had HID's by the style of lights as they look just like the lights on the 300c, so can you just change the bulbs or do you have to change some wiring as well.

the crossfire has a "projector" beam lense. (which is needed for a true hid...bmw, etc.)

you can add a "plug & play kit" as i did for about $300. at the bottom is a link for more info.

you'll need "H7" kit. i am using an 8000k bulb. bmw & audi factory hid's are about 4700k. (this determines the blueness of the lighting....higher the #...bluer the color). a McCulloch kit (made in germany) is what i recommend.

here is the exact link and seller i went with...

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=36476

money well spent! money chrysler "should have" spent...NOT me.

Yeah its a cheap and easy upgrade. I love my HID lights, especially when I see other crossfires, 300Cs, other expensive cars, etc without them.

WOW!, how ironic that a CEG-er has come into this forum! I am indeed "that" Roger R but I don't have the car anymore, I sold it. What was your screen name over there?

not sure what it was, maybe 1992 black sho, or something of the sort, haven't been there in a while, i have a couple of buddies that have svt's and i use to have a SHO. we are from cleveland and went to a couple of spring zing meets and other tri state meets around kalamazoo. also its a little weird going from a front drive 4 door to one of these isn't it.

the "plug and play" kit is diy & easy to install. it plugs into the factory harness...and comes with xenon bulbs, ballast, relay etc...

ebay link ($300)...

installed in my car...here are the pics of where i mounted the hid hardware (you must have a flat surface). the relays are mounted using existing posts...i added a nut to secure relay. extra wire ties keep things nice and tightie (lots of extra wire).
