Buzzing noise

Hello:

I have a buzzing/rapid tapping noise that comes from under the consul near the shifter. This happens when i start the car and last for up to ten seconds then goes away. Happens about every 5 starts..Any ideas?

If I recall, that is related to the car determining if there is a person in the passenger seat and disabling the airbag if there is not. See it it occurs when you have a passenger. (Or I could be wrong.)
