So, there I am, tooling down the highway...
basking in the sun. Top down, tunes blasting away.... (actually, I am entering the highway) and in the lane next to me is a Volvo S40 T5. I guess he see's the spoiler come up and thinks I wanna race. So he jumps on his, I see this burst and think HE wants to race, so I jump on mine. Bye bye Volvo.... LOL

Again, I have friends in the Chicago area that can direct you to a fine program to assist you with reading comprehension. I didn't challenge him, he challenged me.
As much as I'd like to take you up on that bet, there is obviously no way to prove or disprove it.

joy in life from being a wet blanket? Sheesh!
Those Volvo guys can be pretty fanatic. There's a guy in my office who
thinks he has a hot Volvo, and it too is a Sedan. Go figure.

I think he is starving for attention. As you are bringing up you beat a euro focus platformed volvo.
long reputation for honesty. Besides, what would my be motive? I'm a
quiet, conservative family man who happens to like to go fast, but also
has a taste for unique styling. And for your canard about buying an
older viper for the same money, have you ever tried to finance $40K
for a used car? And minimal or no warranty. Sheesh!
Any moron can go check the performance specs on the cars I have
referenced. The problem with morons, however, is that they rarely
educate themselves before engaging their mouths. What you think is impossible is much more believable than you claims for your SRT4. Why
don't you go educate yourself.
By the way, ad hominem attack is a logical fallacy, and can be discounted.

Well, I guess that removes any doubt from my mind. You were there?
You saw the run? Perhaps you were the guy in the Porsche's passenger
seat? How can a reasonable person debate with you, when you make
stuff up out of whole cloth? You make a definitive statement on an event
you can't possibly have observed, and call another a liar while having
absolutely no evidence to back up your charge.
Let's see, straw man, ad hominem, ad nauseum, how many other logical
fallacies can you fall into?
You say you are here to pull this forum back to reality... yeah, right.
In reading through your many posts, I find not a smidgen of evidence
that you have any other intent than to be a wet blanket and a troll.
Your only purpose here seems to be to denigrate other posters and
attempt to start flame wars. If you have information to provide, please
do. If you can't do that without resorting to character assassination,
baseless accusations, or rancor then keep your mouth shut. It is better
to keep quiet and let people think you a fool, than it is to open your
mouth and prove it.
BTW, the Carrera S is listed on Porsche's web site as performing the
0-60mph run in 4.6 seconds. Road and Track clocked the SRT6 at 4.8
seconds performing the 0-60mph run. With only a 0.2 second difference,
a reasonable man would conclude that the driver becomes a key element
in determining which car will come off best. Other important elements
are when does each car hit it's top torque load and how wide the power
band is. And, although the Carrera S comes in at 355hp its lower torque
load and more narrow power band reduce it's acceleration rate.
Also, though I have made no statement as to what model of Porsche,
other than a Carrera S, was losing the challenge when we had to back
off (see SRT6 eats a Carrera S), I've done a little research (you should try
it Bullseye) and found the relevance of 996 or 997. Yes, it was the
newer body style, so I guess it was a 997. Too bad Bullseye, but your
icon did fall.

i came to this forum hoping to meet some nice people and i did. but some have to trash others and i don't think it is fair to all other readers to have to skim over the bs to get to read something interesting. maybe if you private messaged each other it might be easier on our eyes and you could still have your fun. just a suggestion. have a nice day guys.
Sad to say that we have a member here named Bullseye who's like a nutty gadfly. We acknowledged his disability here to comply with the ADA...having a FOOT and MOUTH disease - meaning his mouth stinks as bad as his foot!

I'm afraid I got on the forum too late to catch that one; Good eye OKEVEN. Our Corvette expert loses again.
