04 Prices continue to drop...
Go on EBAY and see what you can buy Crossfires for. It may make you a bit sick, but unless you want a bunch of low mileage cars, don't be offering 20 G's for '04 Xfires.
The super-slick looking, Pontiac Solstice, is due out in the very near future, and that unit won't help
Xfire sales, either. I got kinda sick too, when the 350Z blew my doors off. I tell myself the Xfire LOOKS better.
I envy those of you who feel that the cars you bought for $28,000, and more, leave you satisfied.
Are you the same folks who bought a stock for $20, and are unconcerned because you don't plan
to sell the stock right now? When you get to be my age, 69, you'll discover that dog won't hunt.

i went to my local dealership to test drive a crossfire, im in the market for a new car. they said there offering close to 9,000 off sticker. I was pretty impressed with the car overall, im a benz fanatic so to pop the hood and see mercedes all over the place was pretty cool. but yeah, the car i looked at was 34,000 and with the cash back, 25,000 for a new crossfire with 300 miles on it doesnt seem too bad. anybody think I should negotiate lower or stick around? Im still debating between the 350Z, Mustang, S2000, C230K SS so im trying to narrow down that list as well. thanks for the help!
My dealer is selling 2004 (in stock inventory only) Crossfires for $27,500. He has only 5 on the lot of which four are automatics. Today I put my deposit down on a silver coupe with 6 speed trannie. I have to bring in my trade in car next week to finalize the deal. However, indeed, Chrysler is trying to move the 2004 inventory off the lots as the 2005's are arriving. There appear to be no deals on the 2005 models offered.
At $25K, this is best dam semi sports car you can buy. There is great value at that price. Beats the living crap out of a Ford Mustang that soon every secretary and not too good looking stripper will be driving with a V6. Oh, yes, the real men will be driving the GT's. But who cares when they all look the same. As for the Nissan, check out those boards, they have more problems with those than a Yugo.

I talk to my local dealer here in Ventura Ca. he has at least 10.>04s all 6 spds, he said there is still alot of Crossfires at the port storage almost 6,000 of them. He's waiting for DC to get ready to help out with more incentives!!! I'd wait a little more you might see almost $20k.
Belive it i bought mine for 27,000 05', loaded, limited, 100 miles on it, was a display model for chrysler, my buddy is a salesman for suburban chry/plym, in st. paul minnesota, window sticker even laminated kinda cool, listed for 37,000 gotta like that, i was also looking at the 350Z, mustang, and audi TT, none compare to merc quality, and at that price just know contest. love it.
Funny. I have been giving this issue alot of thought. I used to get a new or almost new car every 2-3 years. Also did the same with the wife's car. I Have owned BMW's, Hondas, citrons, mazda, and peugots. The only thing that work out financially was two, the citron and the pug. It also funny that these where the two cheapest cars out of the lot.
So, when I heard the Cf production may stop in 2007 I started looking at alt. This is what I found 645 ci Bmw's 9 month old cars 10-15k on the clock with lot of options £44,000.00 with a bit of negotiating would get it for £42,500.00 or so. This was a £55,000.00 car and has lost £1388.00 per month. Porsche has lost about 300-400 per month in the first year for a 911 carrera. (Basic one)
Merc 500 sl about £1000.00 per month first year.
Maybe I am getting old but, perhaps keeping a car until the tires fall off is the best strategy.
My father has a 1969 ford P.U. bought from brand new for $2,999.00 tax and license out the door. He has done the following over the years two new eng, new tranny, overall rear end, new upholstery, new paint. That's the major work plus all the normal maintenance stuff. In 36 years he has spent $23,000.00 on this truck. Our cars have already lost £10,000.00 in the first year.
I think I will be keeping the CF for a few years to come.

It happens! When Miata's first came out they went for $5000 over the $13,000 MSRP. Now advertised with rebates and discounts here in SanDiego for $9,000 off MSRP.
Enjoy your sports car and don't look back.

With may coming up does anyone think the rebates on the leftover '04s will be increased?
My guess is that we might see another grand or two come off. If thats the case I will be a new owner by the 5th or 6th of the month...

I'm in Southern Cali and have seen ads for $10,000 off MSRP on left over 2004s. I called to verify, and they said they'll still do it - and this was just over the phone. So I imagine getting another $1000 or so knocked off the price should be possible.
