04 Prices continue to drop...
I just purchased my 04 in Orlando with 1,340 miles. Dealer was asking $25,500, marked down to $24,600. I offered him $26,600 because I told him the car is worth more (and I wanted more for my trade). I traded an 05 Mazda6 with 840 miles (car does not handle well. Paid $25,500 4/9/05. Dealer trade offer was $17,500. I got $22,000).
An 04 Crossfire is worth at least $32,000 based on everything else in the market place that $32,000 can buy you. Don't lose sleep over it, just enjoy your hot car.

Yep, called them yesterday and it was sold. That was a great deal, although the car did have over 800 miles. On the bright side, I have a dealership in OH talked down to $21,900 for a Graphite/Cedar 6-Speed with only 24 Miles! That just happens to be the exact car I want so I don't really mind paying the extra money, as stupid as that sounds. Hopefully my bank gets back with me today and I can drive the 2 hours it takes to get there. Maybe by then I will have them down to $21K. You would not believe how anxious dealers are to get rid of these. I have that OH dealer fighting another local dealer that has a Black/Cedar car I would settle for. They keep going back and forth knocking off a few hundred at time. This is a deal I can't pass up...
moneymanager,
Obviously you are nuts. Anybody who would go into a dealership and pay more than the dealer's asking price is clinically ill. You could have gone in there and said you would sign papers today if they gave you X amount for your trade and pay what they are asking. Sorry to come off like an as* but you are a car salesman's dream...

Newbie checking in. I signed the papers on Friday and I will take delivery on Monday afternoon of my new 2004 Crossfire. Black with the two tone interior. I got the dealer down to $21,700. I could probably have waited a couple of weeks/months and seen the prices drop even lower, but they met my price and I couldn't resist...

First post on this forum. I had to read up on the car. Saw it advertised in the local paper for $19,991 or something.
And it's not just the "1 at this price" loss-leader, bait and switch car. They have 3. I'm calling them tomorrow.

Does anyone know of any deals like this in Houston? Archer Chrysler (North) will not budge on their o4 alabaster with front curb grinded rims (both) = they want 29990 + TT&L = the bad part is that it has been there for a year and a half and put through all types of elements: I test drove this guy early last summer before purchasing my SSB Crossfire July 2004 for 29000!

$19k would put me in a XFire before the weekend.
Thanks,

Hong;
I believe it was in the Review papers. My wife brought it to my attention last weekend. It may have been Fremont Auto West. That is where I got my Crossfire. But it could have been either Stoneridge Chrysler and/or Connell in Oakland. I looked for the Advertisements........gone with garbage pickup.

Elwood,
Thanks for the information. I saw the Fremont AutoWest ad for $19,991, so I'll give the other dealers a call as well.
So you're saying it was an even $19k and not $19,xxx? Another $1000 off would seal the deal.
I guess I should test drive it first though!

For those prices I think my mom would really like one, too! I know my dad was looking at PT Cruiser Convertibles over the weekend. He said EP was under $18K for a Turbo with a cloth interior. I don't like leather in convertibles so I figured this would be pretty good buy. Although, I'm sure she would much rather have the xfire if it was only $1K more...
Just for reference, I think you guys on the West coast are lucky. It seems like prices on cars are a few grand lower across the board. Although, you guys pay twice as much for everything else so it offsets pretty quick...
