Re: Chrome bumpers good idea?
No.
Why? Because those chrome bumpers would be hidden behind the front and rear fascias, you’d never see them! There are actual metal bumper components behind the fascias but some of the bumper pieces are special high density foam.
How are you going to chrome foam? Good luck!
The bumpers on any car are behind the front and rear fascias, the only vehicles that have actual bumpers without typical fascia coverings are pickup trucks. Many are still chrome, some are just painted, they have no urethane “fascia” covering.
This question does sound like you are being purposely obtuse.
I’m going to assume you mean a chrome finish on some part of the front and rear fascias. As they say, aesthetic taste is subjective so you may want to think this through a little more.
That said it could be done to some extent. Some companies make Chrome Wrap material. I’ve seen it used in part on cars and also seen pictures of whole cars wrapped in Chrome.
It could work, aesthetically, I suppose. Possibly. In a perfect world.
You can get Chrome bumpers for late model Challengers to make them look more like the original 1970-1974 Challengers that had actual chrome bumpers.
They are aftermarket items, they are made of plastic that looks just like chrome. It is vacuum metalizing process used to “chrome” plastic parts and widely used on many plastic pieces on cars nowadays. They attach by simply sticking (with adhesive) on to the front and rear fascias
You could potentially modify Challenger bumpers to have chrome bumpers on a Crossfire, it certainly will not be easy, or cheap, though there may be a glimmer of hope.

Re: Chrome bumpers good idea?
I understand what you were looking for. I always wonder how I could make the X-fire look more like my old 67' Triumph Gt-6. A modern rendition of a classic sports car. It could probably be pulled off. But it would be a helluva task. The grill, headlights and taillights are pretty dull on the Crossfire for being such an awesome looking car. I give you credit for seeing the car for what it could be, a retro of a retro modern vehicle.
