Question Things I Wish My Crossfire Had....

Having come to the Crossfire from the Lexus SC400 Coupe, there are a few small items that I wish Chrysler would think of adding....

1) Automatic Mode for Headlights (on) and Interior Gauges (on).... The ability of putting the lights into Automatic Mode so that the headlamps and parking lights come on as the ambient exterior light diminishes is a common feature. And I miss it. Especially the Speedo and Tach lighting.

2) Interior Temperature Control - Automatic .... I do miss the ability to dial in the cabin temperature and then just forget about it... and let the car do the rest. The Lexus SC400 had the best system to do this... way back in 1992.... all the fiddly dual controls, etc. that the Crossfire has are a step back for me.

3) The Left / Right Rear View Mirror Control... Very Nice but MOVE IT SOMEWHERE ELSE. Smack Dab in the middle of the console is not the best spot for this.

4) A Sunroof Option for the Coupe would be welcome.

5) A multi-CD changer magazine would be cool.

So those are my top five wish list items. Just wondering what you folks would ask Chrysler / Daimler Benz to add to future year models?

Ah. Would you have to leave it at home when you take it off?
I think I'd stick with the electirc ragtop I have now. It makes the car! Maybe an improvement would be a retractable hardtop!

Seat/mirror memory, wait, I don't need that in my crossfire, nobody's allowed to drive it but me. Would be nice to have it in the wife's car. Oh and BTW the heated seats are awesome for those cold San Diego mornings.

1. Auto lights
2. Trip computer..I liked to see how many miles to empty, etc. (Jeep GC)
3. 10 CD charger. Why couldn't they put one in the bulkhead or in the trunk area?
4. Audio controls on steering wheel.
5. A cargo net for the back trunk area. I currently us a plastic milk crate on a rubber mat.
6. Tilt steering.
7. A quick release latch to move seat backs forward.

A few of my favorite things.

1. Auto headlights!!
2. Auto climate control
3. Auto dimming rear view mirror
4. 6 disk in dash cd changer
5. Xenon headlights
It is hard going back to a car that does not have these features. I find it strange that older cars have them but not the 2005 Xfire. However I knew all of this before buying the car and I still purchased it because I love it!!

1. The new M-B 3.5l that's in the newer SLKs. Can you say 0-60 in 5.5secs...
2. Bi-Xenon lamps (Xenon fogs too).
3. Targa top or Sunroof
4. Radio unit from a 300C or Magnum R/T (6 disc, MP3 and Nav)
5. Optional painted door handles and window surround
6. Heated and COOLED Seats
7. More aggressive seat option (Think ACR seats on Viper and SRT-4)
8. On board computer
9. Lower suspension
10. Chrome exhaust tips
11. REAL CUPHOLDERS!!!

The items I would have liked to have had on my Crossfire:

1. More low end power. While a number of people have asked for more HP, I wonder if a little different gearing would have done the trick. It's kind of cool that the Crossfire can easily do 120 - 140 mph, but maybe a little more low end would have been more useful? I don't get to many chances to cruise the Autobahn.

2. Non-dust brake pads. If these are available, why do they still make the messy ones?

3. Leg room. I'm 6'1" so it's a tight fit for me. I'd like to be able to put the seat back about two more inches. Obviously they reused the MB chassis so this one may not have been possible.

4. Auto-headlights. I miss this feature from previous vehicles.

5. Climate control. Dual zone seems like overkill for such a small car. I would have preferred a climate control where you set a specific temp. and the vehicle handles the rest.

6. Sound system. I am a audio nut so I am disappointed by pretty much any OEM equip. The subs in the Crossfire are particularly bad.

7. Cargo organizer/net. Stuff tends to fly around without it. If anyone has suggestions on this one, lemmeno.

I've never been a fan of convertibles/targas/sunroofs, so this doesn't matter to me (no offense to those who do like them).
