Talking Finally!!!

Well its official, I am the owner of a Brand New 2004 Chrysler Crossfire. I drove all the way to Xenia, Ohio to get my Graphite/Cedar 6-Speed. Final price was just about $22k out the door. I am so excited. I have all kinds of plans, starting with the navigation and stereo. I am also looking into the McCulloch 8000K H7 kit, that will probably be my next mod. I will post a few pics taken from the dealership tomorrow. I was a little concerned about going from my SRT-4 to the Xfire but after driving for over 200 miles already I have no regrets. This is the car of my dreams...

EDIT: I uploaded the pictures that were taken at the dealership. For some reason the first one showed up like three times. I will figure out how to fix it later...

Thumbs up Re: Finally!!!

Congrats on the new ride and going from an SRT-4 maybe a step down in perf, but overall, a step up in class! The car handles very well IMO, considering its supposed to be a mix of lux/perf and with some mods, can be made to handle even better. I too an looking into the HIDs and I already have the Magnaflow muffler ordered and an appointment for window tint. Good luck with your new ride and BTW, how did you get a brand new 04'?

It was a leftover '04, that's why I had to drive to Ohio to get it. I haven't checked the build date yet but I think the dealership got it right before the '05s and just sat it on the showroom floor. They still have one more left, its an '04 Alabaster/Auto. My mom fell in love with it and is trying to talk my dad into trading her miata in on it. I doubt it will happen but its such a great deal. I think they are asking $23,250 since its an Auto. I still can't believe I picked mine up. I worked so hard to get it and searched for nearly 2 months to find the exact car for a price that I could afford...

Congratulations! I'm sure it was worth the wait, that was a great price! The thing about having a new '04, the 05's don't look any different, so it IS like having a new one, no one will be able to tell from the outside!

Happy and safe motoring!

Buying an '04 was the only way I could afford it. College has put a hole in both my pockets and my parents. I planned on buying one after I graduated but I couldn't pass a deal like that up....

Ital!
Good going. On Saturday, a friend of mine, after taking a Crossfire for a test drive, promptly traded in her Mini Cooper for the last 2004 6 Speed on the lot. She got a great trade in value on the MC and picks up the Crossfire (Black) today.

The 2004 6 speeds are probably getting hard to find. This particular dealer just has one 2004 left and it is a white automatic.

I found 10 that fit my criteria (Not Red/6-Speed) within 250 miles of Indianapolis. A dealership in Ft. Wayne, IN had SIX total left. I believe only one was a 6-Speed and it was black with the all black interior. I'm sure they would do just about anything to get rid of their inventory. I had them talked down to $21,500 just over the phone. I opted to pay a few extra bucks and get the color combination I wanted. To me it was worth it...

Congrats to your ride! I know exactly how you feel. It took me almost 2 years waiting as well. I had to finish my study first.
Like you I bought a year-old showroom car. But here the prices are slightly higher than in US. I paid 35k$ (metallic/auto) instead of 44.5k$ (current $ rate). But I'm sure the fun is the same!

Enjoy it...

Bullseye,
Do you still have the xfire? I love my SRT-4 and I don't plan on letting it get away. I consider this as "letting my bro borrow the car for a very long time." Give me a few more years in school and I will have my SRT-4 back. Then I will be able to put the time and money into it that it deserves...

Yes I still have both of them. I drive the SRT-4 more now, but do take out the crossfire once in a while. My uncle may be interested in assuming the lease of the crossfire, so it may be gone soon.
