Fusible link
Hi, I have an 04 base coupe. I recently got into some deepish water, enough to blow out my fog lights. No prob taking care of that problem, but I have a constant battery discharge going on when it is running. I'm getting just 11 volts on my meter. Checked all fuses, battery is fine, cant find anything else wrong. So now I am looking for a fusible link I believe. I just cant locate it/them, or find any specific info on location. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. I know what to look for, just cant find it on this car.

If the system is down to 11 volts with the engine running, the alternator is not charging.
But you did not say where you are measuring 11 volts at, nor what your ground reference is.
Further update, removed alternator and it checked out good. Cleaned all connections that I could find that might have gotten wet. Put it all back together and no more problem. Guessing corrosion somewhere.
Being an 04, it should have a BOSCH alternator.
But you make it sound like you got one of the VALEOs. I've changed the Valeo on my 07 twice now.
Do not be surprised if it fails again.
