Cover Up???
For those who have been following my search for an '05 Limited Coupe in the 'Advice?' thread, I can now say our search has ended and we drove home Friday evening in our new Aero Blue.
Although it had but a bare 15 miles on it at delivery, this one had been sitting about on the dealers' lot for some time. So there was a lot of grunge to be gotten off of it...not to mention all of the rail dust and etc., which I am sure they never bothered to remove when it first arrived on the lot. After a through washing, I still spent nearly three hours alone on it with a clay bar. Amazing the detritus I pulled off it a simple clay.
I've a question, though (the first what will be many, I am quite sure). For those who live to tell people look it up in the Search pages...limber out your fingers. I am sure this has come up in the past...but I couldn't find it anywhere...
With the first wash, the small round fabric patch fell free from the center of the rear license plate cubby. I see the Torx head in the hole...what is this Torx screw for that it requires such ready access? Also, is there any better way to cover the hole than this feeble patch?
Many thanks,

Congrats on your new ride and you'll be amazed at how many people are going to comment on the color of your car, its all I ever hear about on my ride. I too needed to detail my car, but it doesn't sound like mine was as bad as yours and that's a real shame. Make sure you fill that out in the questionnaire when you get it, I did along with the following:
-shipping tape was left on the bottom d/s rocker panel.
-1/4 tank of gas, give me a break!
-no free first oil change, I thought that was a given.

Thanks for the encouragement!!! By and large, the dealer did a reasonable job of taking care of us. MUCH better than the dealer where I bought my 300C, to be sure.
So...how about it?
Anyone have ideas on a replacement cover for that gaping hole in the license plate cubby? There's always high temp metalized tape...but I am hoping for something a bit classier.

In the past, I've purchased plastic plugs which can be had in various sizes from a hardware or auto parts store. They can be painted the same color as your car to make them virtually unnoticeable.
