Default NeedsWings oil catch can and Cammus Windbooster 3S throttle controller.

Hi again Crossfire community. I am wondering if anyone has an opinion re whether the NeedsWings oil catch can, is a worthwhile addition to a NA Crossfire? Also I was looking at installing the Cammus made Windbooster 3S throttle controller, which gives better throttle response via different programmable modes. Again is this worthwhile, or if I went ahead with a specialist tune, part of which remaps the throttle, a throttle controller would be surplus to requirements, a waste of money?
Regards to all.

Many say the oil catch can is not necessary, I on the other hand have one and like to see all the junk that would have gone into the intake.
As to thewindbooster, I'd try the tune first if I were you, other benefits to be had there.

Ok, thanks for responding. You have confirmed my thinking on the tune v throttle controller, although a tune isn't on the cheap side, I have been quoted an increase of 15 rwp, torque increase along with improved throttle response. I'll probably go for the catch can too. Take care.

I recommend the Needswings Oil Catch Can for sure
It traps about 2 ounces of dirty oil between every oil change interval

Thank you for your response. From your photo the catch can is fitted above where the engine cover would sit. Is that correct? I read someones fitting instructions and it sounded like the engine cover fits back on, once the catch can is in place.
Cheers
Brian

The picture shows the can uplifted from its normal installation place. He is draining the can in that picture. Yes the engine cover easily fits in place when the oil catch can is installed. the instructions for the installation can be found here, Look for the Needswings documents near the bottom of the list :Oil Catch can install
Thanks to 180 for that documentation thread!
