I never got around to installing this oil catch can. It is brand new with all of the attachment hardware still packaged. Intake gaskets included. Price from Needswings is $139 plus shipping. Price including shipping is $100. Paypal.

PM if interested.

Thanks

Explanation provided by needswings.com....

Why would we need such a part?
The 2 smaller (one on each bank) valve cover ports feeding into the bottom of the throttle body are pulling oil into the intake stream thru the venturi port on the bottom of the throttle body. This is coating everything after the throttle body with oil. For those of you that have looked at the inside of your intercooler, air distribution ypipe or intake manifolds will know what we are referring to. This oil coating is causing inefficiency to the cooling and flow thru the intercooler and hinders flow thru the ypipe and manifolds. The spark plugs will eventually foul as well due to this oil. The IAT and MAP sensor get coated with the oil, and the oil also makes its way into the combustion chamber. In short, its crud and we don't want it.

NeedsWings Crossfire Oil Catch Can Kit

I purchased the kit as I intended to regularly track my SLK32. I've only tracked the car once and never got around to installing the kit. I'm selling my SLK32 now and no longer require the kit.

Talking Re: FS: Brand New Needswings Oil Catch Can

This was my first design for the crossfire, it allows the oil vapor to be separated before it went to the engine and gunked up the intake and HEAT EXCHANGER fins.

The oil will attract and hold dust / dirt on the fins and cause poor cooling of the intercooler. I saw this as an issue when Brian Black was doing his heat wrap insulation of the intercooler.

Its basically a baffeled and filter oil mist separator. Ill try to scare up some photos of my first 'can'. Enjoy, WOODY

I like to throw up the last one for the impact of it all. I got traction, yeah

BTW note the marks are DARKER on the inside, showing the camner is not allowing the tires to sit fully on the pavement, causing poor wear and lousy traction. This has been corrected this past couple of weeks. WW

You must have a slim profit margin on these.
