New here I purchased my 2007 Crossfire a few weeks back replacing my Mini GP Race car as I have wanted to build one of these into a complete track build for a while now.
Progress is already quite fast so my build thread will be updated daily / weekly moving forward.
Can't wait to share this build with you guys.
As I have said this car will replace my full GP Mini track car and will sit along side my 2017 M3 Comp 600 BHP track / Street car and Mercedes AMG GTS.
Pictures of progress so far to be uploaded later after work.
Some pictures of my progress with the track car so far!
I am loving this build so far. I look at the car next to my others and it amazes me how modern and unique these cars still look, Hopefully a future modern classic.

Re: Crossfire (Kit Car) - Track car build
It looks like you've started out with a beautiful Crossfire coupe. Enjoy your project and thanks for thinking of us and posting photos of your progress (allowing us to visually participate along with you).

You're very welcome, I haven't been on many forums for a few years mainly because the BMW and Mercedes groups I was in were just full of idiots! I love this clean example I looked for months until I found a single owner low mileage LTD model and so far the work in progress is going well.
I will be posting more updates over this coming weekend
So This week I have spent the week installing the new coilover and a few other parts to my Crossfire track build.
So I went with the Bilstein B14 kit in the end as it looked like one the best applications for what I needed / Wanted. I have adjusted the height to where I wanted it but it hasn't been driven yet so is yet to settle. I also this week did a full paint correction and detail on the car fitted a set of 4 H&R 20mm hub-centric wheel spacers to widen the track a little and rolled the arch lips slightly.
So one question I do want to know is I was thinking of maybe getting another two rear 19" wheels and running a square setup with much wider tyres for track has anybody else done this or looked into it?
Here are a few quick pictures from this weeks progress.
I do not think the wider rim/tire will work on the front. It will probably rub, although I have never tried it. Others have gone with the 18" rims all around especially when wanting to run snow tires in the winter.
Have fun with the build. Do you have any plans for the engine??
