Is it possible to set the car to lock before you exit the car? Must you push the button to lock the car after you get out? Or can you set it to lock, close the door and have the doors locked?

I will try to make this clear.

Now you get out of the car push the button. The lights flash 3 times and the car is locked.

Can you push any button on the key pad or dash get out of the car close the door and have the doors lock?

There is an auto-lock feature like I stated to your about #2 question. Owners book should talk about. My car locks itself after all the lights are off, engine off, all doors closed at around 20-30 seconds...

 

That means you park the car, step out, shut the door and the car locks itself? How to set this? Isn't it dangerous when leaving key accidentally in the car and being locked out? My manual doesn't say anything about this. The only auto-lock my car does is when I drive faster than 9 mph or unlock with the remote and don't open any door within 40 sec.
