I just recently purchased a Crossfire and I love the vehicle. But I did something stupid...the steering wheel emblem was cracked and so I figured I'd take it off and glue it back together. Over time I guess the plastic got brittle and well...using trim tools you can see the result below.
Where can I purchase one of these without needing to buy a new sterling wheel (I know parts are hard to come by)!
There is a shop called Crossfire Store and they have them among other things. (www.thecrossfirestore.com) but it's insulting how expensive they are...I think they charge $80 for that little piece of painted plastic lol.
It would be an option if that's worth it to you.
Another idea would be to contact scrap yards or vendors selling steering wheels without the airbag. Chances are if the airbag deployed they might have that piece if it stayed in one piece and they would sell it to you very cheap..
Third option would be to purchase a used airbag on eBay with the emblem attached and then cross your fingers you finger out a way to get the emblem off of the airbag without breaking it.
I found these on eBay but it doesn't say what vehicle they belong to. I guess the challenge would also be to get them off of there without breaking it. But I wonder if they would fit? It doesn't list what vehicle it came from.
Once upon a time someone posted that you could use an emblem for a PT Cruiser part #05023818AA. You have to cut some tabs off the back.
Unfortunately that part number has been discontinued like many other parts. The landscape has become bleak lately with things like this and other interior pieces. As far as pricing goes, we buy our factory parts from Dodge, they unfortunately set the bar pretty high on all of these parts as we're sure you're all aware if you've called the dealer anytime recently. I'm fairly certain we don't list them anymore. If you happen to see them on the page, it might be an old cached page that is getting pulled up from whichever search engine you may be using. Apologies for that.
Found them on eBay ultimately. Vendor there had a whole bunch of them still left, she didn't know it was for a Crossfire but it was exactly the ones that are on our cars with the correct tabs and everything. Fit perfectly, was $20.
if someone needs some she has more of them left.

Was glad to find it!
eBay is a big site, normally people give the name sites URL to give them a heads up.
So the seller was very nice but did not know that these are actually for the Crossfire. It's in fact the original Crossfire one with the 4 pins in the back NOT the PT Cruiser version where you have to cut off the mounting bracket to make it work..
She told me she has many of these laying around but I don't see it listed anymore so if you want one it's best to reach out to her directly.
