Door lock/unlocked stopped working
Love this car but it's been one thing after another lately. When I press "unlock" on key fob the front lights will flash as er normal and I hear the beep (installed that a while ago) but the door won't unlock. I then use my key to manually unlock and that works.
NIt sure if connected to my issue with the hatch slightly leaking but I don't think it would be enough water coming in to actually get into the electronics in the trunk. I don't have water in the trunk well or the carpet in the trunk so hoping that's not my issue.
Any ideas of what could cause the hydrolics of the door unlock/lock to stop working?

Do you hear a hiss when you press the buttons?
It could be just a broken air line.
Hopefully onehundred 80 is correct in the post above, However the door lock/unlock is not "hydrolics". The system works on vacuum and air pressure created by a pump in the right rear of the car, AND WATER MOST DEFINITELY WILL FIND ITS WAY TO THAT REAR AREA IF THE LEAK IS NOT REPAIRED UP AT THE HATCH. The air pump is also part of the cars anti theft system. There are numerous post on the subject. You can use the search box in the upper right corner of this site.

It would not hurt to 'poke' a hole into the two rubber plugs under the hatch area (just rear of the two drive axles under the car, so you don't have to disassemble the hatch trim/stuff under the bottom of the hatch). IF while poking a hole into those rubber plugs water runs out, you'll have to disassemble that hatch area to inspect/fix any corrosion/wiring/modules if they are damaged by water. Good luck!

So the leak is still an issue for me but the door locks was false alarm. Car was sitting for 5 days and battery was nearly dead so that is why the door lock mechanism was not functioning properly. I know these cars are finicky to a fully charged battery. Here is the problem..the battery is very new but it seems to discharge within 3 days.
i thought maybe the ground wire leading to transmission might be corroded (and it was) so I replaced it but it still seems like a he car doesn't hold a charge.

First thing I did when I got my XF was poke those 2 plugs out of the R and L trunk wells from underneath. Sure enough, water came draining out. No need to worry about that anymore with those plugs popped... There may be a leak but it will drain and I won't have to deal with submerged pumps and electronics in that right trunk well.
Underneath, attached to the rear bumper is a small plastic panel with I believe is four T20 Torx screws and two 10mm nuts holding it on. There is one panel on each side. It you remove that panel you will see a rubber stopper about 3/8 inch in diameter in about the middle. Grab that with a pair of pliers or vise grips and pull it out. Relace the panel and you are done.
