New Mopar Supercharger for under 2k!!!?
Here is the link. The price is just for the s/c without intercooler and all that but even if you bought everything, it wouldn't be more then 3k, if i'm looking at this right? All the parts seem to be just replacements, so i'm assuming that the s/c and parts are just what are on the srt-6, and if that's the case, wouldn't be better to buy a 6 speed and then buy all the parts, than to buy a srt-6. Not to mention you get a 6 spd? Any input or info would be great. Thanks.

i am very interested in this. anyone in the know, have a clue what would need to be done if this is possible. could we run a larger pulley so the boost wouldn't be to high for our motors?
click link.
under body parts put in 2004/05 chrysler-enter.
then crossfire-enter.
on the left there will be a list in blue.
click engine.
and then you'll see supercharger, and components, click this.

now the $1,700 is only for the supercharger. the rest of the parts and stuff is relatively cheap if you buy everything as a "kit". and as far as the engine being able to handle the power, I thought that its the same engine as the srt-6 -minus of course the s/c. as far as intercooler, they have all that from IC itself to the tubing and etc. idk. but i think this is the best i have seen as far as price and reliability goes (mopar parts).

Besides that, my fav. issue on the 6-speed babble...MB DOES NOT MAKE A PERFORMANCE STICK...so that means that all the parts needed to strengthen the tranny would have to be custom made. Fine if money and a warranty are not an issue for a person but for the rest of us...a deal breaker...

I can't think of a way...even if I tried, to come out cheaper to build up a non-SRT correctly to full SRT specs with the deals that can be made on remaining SRT-6's on dealers lots.

i'm sure the tranny could handle it, and I remember reading that it could handle it somewhere on here also. but i wouldn't run a supercharger, w/o upgrading it to some extent. plus a real modded car and a smart tuner knows that it's pointless to have high hp #'s if you can't get that power to the wheels, or if you don't know how to drive, right?
here is a link to a thread saying that the tranny can handle it with no problem...

I can't find it, how about part numbers? I am assuming there is a new intake, gaskets, pulleys etc. the mopar site will not display parts.
Thanks, Carl

cross1- if you read back in this thread, i explain how to get to the s/c section, and from there it has all the rest of the parts you'd need.
