If your Democratic friend Bill Clinton only kept himself busy working for this country and not with his intern...Osama Bin Laden would have been long gone in this world and there would not have been 911 nor a reason to kick Saddam out! But because our government felt how dangerous the threat Saddam is if he allowed these terrorists to get hold of WMD's...even through speculations we can't wait til something happens! Saddam needs to go 'cause he is a mass murderer...no different than Milosovich! But because the President is a Democrat when we kicked Milosovich, nothing bad is said about it.

Other than the first wtc bombing that happened a month after he became president? In the world, he successfully dispatched peace keeping forces to war-torn Bosnia and bombed Iraq when Saddam Hussein stopped United Nations inspections for evidence of nuclear, chemical, and biological weapons. He became a global proponent for an expanded NATO, more open international trade, and a worldwide campaign against drug trafficking. He drew huge crowds when he traveled through South America, Europe, Russia, Africa, and China, advocating U.S. style freedom Now we have GW in office, lets see, higher gas prices, worst terrorist attack on america, war, more terrorist attacks internationally (that's what happens when u **** terrorists off, if they can't get you (America) they'll get the person that's friends with you (London attacks). How many soldiers died because of "war" when Clinton was in office? And lets see what happened when big daddy Bush was in office faltering economy, rising violence in inner cities, and continued high deficit spending. As far as Clinton's personal life goes, i could care less. The only reason it was such a public issue is because of his social standing, and that Bit*h was just after money anyways. How many people have cheated, or what not in America, they say 1 in 2 marriages ends in divorce, and i would bet half of those are because the other cheated, but does that make national news? No cause it happens everyday, just like murders, and crime. You only hear about the murders locally, but it happens everyday all the time. So thank you Mr. Bush for us going to war, Funny thing is Bush Sr does something to Saddam, but Saddam does nothing when Clinton is in office. Than lil buy Bush comes in and he sends a strong message to America. So what if his as* is captured. He lives better than Americans living on the streets. He has food, water, shelter, basic necessities for life. Terrorists get a hold of WMD? And where would they get these? Can't be in Iraq, cause there aren't any there. Just black gold. My response is to CrossfireKid's opinion of soaring gas prices. Sure, we are all hostages of gas prices, but ask why prices are higher than ever. There are several reasons: 1) World consumption is at an all-time high. The world economy is like a runaway train, and if the world is consuming like there is no tomorrow, of course you'll see an incredible increase in fuel prices. 2) Seems like everyone needs to own a monster-sized suv, and, since these things average 10 to 14 miles per gallon, of course fuel consumption will be up. 3) With everyone wanting to buy the cheapest thing they can find, which happens to be made in China, the Chinese are profiting from our stinginess, making their economy explode, which means their oil consumption either matches or surpasses the U.S., and, again that tightens oil supplies.
If people really want to see a decline in gas prices, i suggest we go back to times like the 80's -four-bangers or V6's, be fuel-conscious, conserve like we did in the 80's when we saw gas prices drop below a dollar-a-gallon, maybe we all could relive that era again.

 

Funny, I don't remember at all about complaining about gas prices. I could care less what the price is. Weather its $2.00 or $6.00. If people aren't happy with it, then they can change the way they live. And as far as SUV's go, if you can afford a Hummer, you can afford the gas.

 

Well, so much for a Crossfire forum. While this political science diatribe is (yawn) interesting, and not at all bi-partisan, of course, lectures from a 20 year old "expert" who knows nothing of what he speaks, other than to laud 8 cylinder 'stangs', is worthless, useless, non-informative and certainly germain to nothing that this forum is meant to represent. Oh, I know, it's a place for people to voice opinions. As the Crossfire says, IMO this site has lost it's way.
