Default Help with electrical connection for radar and sat radio

Hi all,

I have an 2005 XFire ltd roadster. I am trying to hardwire in a radar detector and a Satellite radio.

Does anyone know of a good access point for a power wire that switches off with the ignition?

Is there an easy way to pull the center console to get to a power source?

Thanks for any help.

i got power for my sat radio from the light switch of the glove compartment.

tons of screws and there is one hidden inside the right air vent.

STF...power wire I used for my radar detector was located in the driver's side pillar.

I have a roady 2 installed and just put in a Bell RX75 system. Pop the radio out, remove the 2 screws on the trim plate (above the radio slot), pull it off, then take out the screws out of the airbag light/cig lighter, and ash tray, great access use the cig lighter power and ground, works like champ.
