Default Noise in back

While coming home from work this AM I noticed a noise/rattle/road noise coming from the rear towards the passenger side. The noise totally disappeared when I turned the fan in the on position and would come back when it was off. And the fan wasn't drowning out any noise either. I understand there is an air intake in this area? Could this be the problem?

Thanks for any assistance.

Mark

it is just the bump stops on your trunk lid. all you need is a star bit to tighten them the down force from your spoiler pushes them down and they have a slide adjustment. just loosen them and pull them down then tighten the bolts up and it should stop . i just had to fix mine today it got really annoying.
