All things considered, how happy are you with your Crossfire. Factor in perceived workmanship, quality of parts, repair and performance issues (in-warranty or otherwise), etc.
A short comment is also most welcome. I'll start...
4 months old. 3,300 miles. No issues of any type so far. Only pure joy to date. Rating: 5.

I am repeating myself, but what the heck. 12 months old, no problems, rattles, squeaks, etc. Daily driver (50-60 miles) no paint chips, scratches, etc. Never been back to the dealer, with the exception of two oil changes. The car is well built and everyone who looks at it, only has positive comments, but still have to ask, "what is it?" Chrysler marketing are you listening??? Yet!
14,857 miles and no major problems, except the heated seats issue that is being handled by Dchrysler. The few issues that I have had were taken care of by DChrysler by TSB or warranty.
I had several issues at first. All of which were resolved except for the transmission, tires, and noise. I love the car and the compliments. I just wish the damned transmission would work right. It is a safety hazard that Chrysler and the dealer refuse to acknowledge.

At 1,700 miles and counting I'm still in the "pinch me is it real" phase. Had the car out on the highway last week and it is as fun as anything I've ever driven. I did hit a patch of bumpy road and it reminded me of my Nissan Z's and my Vette but other than that the car is wonderful. This is now three Chrysler products in a row I've had pretty much no problems with. I think this may be the "keeper".

24,000 miles since 01/2004 with no problems except the dealership don't know how to reset the FSS. Just added the chrome side grills and door handle shells. Waiting for my leather seat covers in black and red and will go for the silver stripes!
Lots of thrill and fun in this car and each time I added something makes me love it more! Will wait for the Firepower to be in the market!

In 9,600 miles, not even one "glitch". Performs better than I expected it would, and all thing considered, I really do think it's the nicest car I have ever owned.
I have an early built '04 coupe and I am very happy with the car AFTER all the bugs were fixed. It's a long term keeper for me.
On the other hand, I am not impressed at all with Mercedes quality and Chrysler service.
My car had both the 6-speed transmission and rear axle replaced. I've also had just about every problem that people have mentioned on this forum with my car. I do not buy into the notion that it was a first year or early production model which was the root of the problems associated with it. The majority of parts have been around a long time on the SLK 320 and some other MB's. Build and parts quality should not have been an issue with the Crossfire.
After doing some research on MB, I found that they are still trying to dig themselfs out of quality control issues that go back 5-10 years. Recently, it has been Chrysler ithat has been keeping MB afloat, MB profits are in the toilet.
I'll catch flack on this, but IMHO, overall quailty and reliability are much better on Japanese vehicles.

This is an excellent car! Comfortable, handles great and is just a joy to drive. I knew what I was getting when I purchased it and am VERY HAPPY with it. I've had no issues and would recommend the Limited with Continental All Season tires for a much better ride over the Michelin Pilots.
I understand the "no spare tire" issue but DC should provide all Crossfire owners with XENON HID headlamps. Enjoy the ride!
Go Steelers!

i tell people when they ask how is the crossfire... that i've been blessed.
NYPD/WESTCHESTER COPS ACTUALLY LOVE OUR CAR. One cop actually pulled us over to ask if it was rear or front wheel drive, and 2 other cop cars (NYPD) let us know that they were in awe of the XFIRE... FIRE TRUCKS SLOW DOWN TO WATCH US DRIVE BY. ACTUALLY IN GENERAL DRIVERS ARE MORE COURTEOUS TOWARDS US GIVING US THE RIGHT OF WAY MORE OFTEN...
ANYWAY HAS ANYONE NOTICED THAT WHEN THE WINDOWS ARE LOWERED THE DOORS SOUND LIKE AN OLD CAR WITH LOOSE RATTLES WHEN CLOSING... WITH WINDOWS UP THE DOORS CLOSE QUIETLY AND SOLID!?!?!?!?
