Dad & I had a really great time, really liked meeting everyone that came. The weather cleared up nice after lunch.
Got some nice pics of all the cars. Hope to do this again soon when the colors start to change. If you did'nt show you missed a nice trip!!

 

I see Valk beat me to the picture posting, but anyway there are now some in the gallery.

 

Thanks to all who attended today's meet.
We had some rain on the way out west but after lunch the weather was clear and we spent a couple more hours just talking and taking pics etc.
I enjoyed meeting new people and seeing others back again for todays meet.

I just got a "warning" - what a break! lol

 

Went past Lowell park and took a wrong turn but picked up I-88 in Sterling/Rock Falls.
Still had a good cruise home and got back at 5:15

wayne. thought it was hilarious that you guys left probably 20 minutes or so before the rest of us and I passed you on 88 going back towards Chicago. I may have been speeding, but who knows. Oh, that was after I followed FP north on 39/51 instead of going south. Oh well... thanks for pointing me in the right direction FP.

Good thing ya didn't follow me.
I headed a bit out of the way and went to Sterling/Rock Falls and picked up I-88 there.
You were probably way ahead of me to.
Next time I guess we should devise a plan and a route and travel together.
I had a good time though thats for sure.
Anyone want to go to the Dragon Halloween weekend ...it's not to late to join me.
It's a hell of a good time in the mountains and only about 10 hours away.

 

Hey it was simple.
Left at the top of the hill. Left at the 1st stop light - go to I88....LOL
No one said turn west and head to Sterling/Rockfalls.

But hey you got to see the countryside on a nice afternoon!


*Edit: of course if the cop had not stopped me there would have been less wondering through the country.

 

Haha it would have bee funny. I was in no real rush to get home. Just felt like I needed to open her up for a bit. I saw FP getting onto 39/51 N and i followed.... had to catch up to him. I think I hit 120 or so before I realized I was gaining ground quickly so I let off... It felt good to get her back in that 'fun zone'


Apparently, we all had our little detours that day.... but hopefulyl we all made it home safe no matter which route we took.

wish i could have made it but once again it looks like the chicagoland group had a good turn out and alot of fun.

 

DOPE! DID I miss this, grrr, it had to be like right before I joined.

 

If I went faster then 65mph I would of lost dad, he didn't know the way home. :-)
