Glad to have you and the mrs. join us.
Our plan is to head downtown on I-55 in order to come into Lake Shore drive from the south end and head north.
We will try to make a stop by the lakefront somewhere and park for awhile and take some group pics as well (FP is working on this with the city)
Glenview could possibly be a destination as we have not decided on an ending place although we will be having lunch somewhere north of downtown probably back into the north suburbs.

FP or I will be posting a start point soon and I suspect it will be in Bolingbrook near Rte 53 and I-55 around 11:00 am.

Our plan is to head downtown on I-55 and exit onto Lake Shore drive from the south.
Then head north all the way up to Irving Park rd.
A nice 10 mile ride along the lakefront.

What's the status with a photo-op downtown and a place to park... I heard you were talking to the city about finding a place to park... any luck?

Have we found a place to eat also?

 

We will have to park at one of the Lincoln Park lots. Parking is free, but it's first come....The parking lots there are fairly big. The city would not reserve it for us. Hopefully people are going to the fest.

Gary and I will post the stops. WE are open to Lunch suggestions. I would suggest Lalo's Mexican restaurant in the old Maxwell street area, There's plenty of parking there.

So far it looks like this;

Meet in designated areas to caravan into the city via I-55. Head south on Lake Shore Drive to the Museum of Science and Industry. Take pics. Head north on LSD to Lincoln Park or Irving park as an alternative to parking. Take pics. Head back south and go to Maxwell st. to Lalo's. Eat, walk around, take pics, and then we all head home.

Your thoughts?

 

If it's at night I know a few good spots where we can snag a buncha good shots. Sunday night I think there is a ChicagoZ meet in front of the planetarium, as great of a photop as that is its been hassled lately.
