Just wanted to offer some advice on making reservations.

First off, don't call the 1800 # cause this event with it's code number of S618C causes a little concern for the reservationist.

For direct assistance, call 314-770-8100 and press "0" and then ask for Beverly in reservations.

Based on the events, plan to arrive Monday evening, June 21 and leave Friday, June 25th. This stay will encompass the tentative schedule.

As I recall from Erzer, try to book in November, because I believe they will start to loose rooms after a certain date in November. At $89.00/night, this is a good deal. I can't recall if there was a certain day to book by, but I'm hoping Erzer will elaborate. Although this is about 7 months in advance, these months are going by quickly.

So folks, if you are planning on coming, make your reservations now so that you can lock into a room and current room rate. If you use the direct line, you'll have less hassle and only one phone call. Make the committment and be there, aloha.

Jane, Like I said I didn't mean to be picky so if I seem that way let me know and tell me to keep my fingers off of the keyboard. Actually the only reason I saw it is I'm trying to keep up W\ goings on with this event as I'm trying to finalize plans on attending. I called to make reservations today at Harrahs and Beverly wasn't in today and I couldn't wait for the backup plan ( Michelle ) to return my call. So I'll wait until Monday I guess. One imported bit of info - Michelle at reservations left a message on my phone and said that they are only open until 3:45 central time.

 

Thanks Jane and Larry. As listed in the link Hotel Info (partial extract below) the recommended number is the direct to hotel number. It is absolutely best if people can make their reservations as soon as possible. This way if I need to ask for more, I can do so. At 45 days out, roughly the first week of May, remaining rooms will be returned to the hotel to prevent me from incurring a fee; sorry I haven't won the lottery YET.

I know I owe a schedule but we are still nailing down costs and negotiating reasonable ones at that; considering the potential size of this group. Having looked at the reservations that are being made, where many are arriving the 22nd, I need everybody to understand this much with respect to starting and ending activities. We are planning on having a 7am meet and greet breakfast prior to starting some some drives for the day. There are also plans to have a farewell dinner on the evening of the 24th. Considering these two things, some of you who have already made reservation may want to change your plans; others may want to plan accordingly.

 

Has there been any discussion about having vendors and workshops set up at the event? At the Dragon, Franc R mentioned having the Dyno Tune folks and maybe some detailers available. I know we needed a minimum number of tune ups scheduled to have the vendor set up his equipment, but I haven't seen a sign up sheet for them yet. I'll be glad to put down a deposit for it if we need to.
