here is the indoor go-cart place that is a 10-15 minute ride from the hotel...
go kart, racing, league racing, kid karts, bachelor parties

 

This looks fun and I race karts like these by my house.
My only problem is the hours on Sunday are: 12pm-8pm
I need to be on the road back home before they open on Sunday.
For those who can stick around I highly recommend giving this a try.
It's a blast.
According to the info on the link Rob provided these things can run 35mph on a 1/5 mile indoor track.

I arrive around 4:00 on Friday.
Might be able to squeeze in a few runs Fri or Sat night.
Depends on dinner plans and tailgate weather outside back at the hotel.

Guys - Give me your thoughts on dinner plans.

I'm tentatively thinking the outdoor patio at the Moose Preserve for Friday night (on Woodward & Sq Lake). There's also some discussion of leaving Sat nite dinner plans open, and folks can do their own thing in groups or individually.

I'm in contact with the Prowler club to see if we can do a joint dinner with them, but nothing has been firmed up yet.

I'll go along with anything. It's the company that matters..

 

Moose Preserve is fine for Friday night dinner and as for Saturday being an "open" dinner night.....I think that may work well for everyone to choose where they want to go and form smaller groups etc. and eat when they want to.
Most of us all end up back at the Marriott for some late night tailgating in the parking lot at the hotel anyway.

 

Jim, I agree with Gary on this one....I may bring a couple of prowler guys with me if that is ok....I don't know about 1 viper dude that may come yet, but the prowlers are pretty certain they will attend...thanks for setting this up...and my son #1 will drive my coupe up as well...

 

I made my reservation for friday and saturday night and will be there. But, due to my job, if anything changes, i will let you know by posting here.

Also it feels good to be a Marriott Employee. I got my room for 39 bucks a night haha. Anybody else needs discount? )))
