Does anyone know where the fireplace rooms are? Last year I was in a row of 4 rooms off to the side down the hill, but they didnt have fireplaces. Just wondering if anyone knows the layout well.

The rooms on the ends by the pool (upper) have fireplaces.

Bill, it will be nice to meet the person who started it. I think a photo op of you (originator) and Gary (who kept it going) standing next to the cars at the dam would be great to have posted on the forum with 80+ cars.

I I think as you look out Lobby at Lodge they are behind the pool on the bottom floor , i could be wrong on this but i do remeber seeing a chimmy or two , hope this help a little ,

Stuck in Salisbury, MD due to weather front on last minute business trip the past couple of days. Not sure when I'll get back home tomorrow. Hopefully we'll see folks Saturday AM.

 

A bit of drama 15 minutes from home. I'm boxed in on 294 southbound and some truck dumps a big piece of metal off the back. No where to go so I try to hit it square. A large bang follows and I'm thinking there goes both passenger tires and most likely an ugly scratch to boot. Pulled off at the next rest stop and all appears OK. Maybe the gods are with me. No more drama except for 2 different vans that pushed me out of my lane so they could make an ever so important cell phone call. Hope they remebered that f***ing quart of milk before they got home.

Arrived at our evening stop in Barbourville KY with no more drama. A good bottle of Cab., some sausage and cheese and a Cohiba Red Dot later and all is right with the world.

Hope to arrive early tomorrow. Let's hope the gods are still with me.
