I would like to know if everyone is still interested in the trip up north after the Dream Cruise...we will leave on Sunday morning and drive up....please let me know again....so far I know James and Tammy and myself...

Mckinaw is a beautiful place, RickZ and his Wife picked the perfect hotel to stay at when we went up last July 4th.
My Wife and I may be able to tag along, but I can't say for sure just yet.
Actuall, all of upper Mich. is really beautiful so that's a bonus on top of enjoying a great bunch of people (and cars).

Mackinaw Trip August 22nd
We are leaving Sunday morning after the Dream Cruise from the hotel...heading north-stopping in Frankenmuth for lunch....little shopping....next stop will be Traverse City...Charlevoix...Petoskey....Harbor Springs and the Tunnel of Tree's....dinner and lodging in Mackinaw City.....Monday AM breakfast, touring/shopping and then cross over the bridge to the UP....heading for Sault Ste Marie to see the locks....on toTahquamenon Falls...then to Munising and Pictured Rock...(husband throws wife off, claims she jumped-true story) Probably spend the night there and in the morning head down toward Hwy 2 along lake Michigan and back to the bridge...of course there are a few other spots along the way, like Casinos and things we might want to visit...nothing is carved in stone and we can always find a winery or two along the path...
I only have confirmation from the Harbor's and James and Tammy...so would like to hear if anyone else is definately coming along so I can make hotel reserviations. Please email me if you want to be added to the list. Judi (msgump)

Judi - We're definitely in for this trip, and for others who have the time, this is a beautiful tour of northen Michigan.

With a little further planning and some map routing it looks like out trip might go something like this.
Driving Directions from Auburn Hills, Michigan to Munising, Michigan
I have included links with several of the attractions we plan to visit along the way.
If anyone else can join us just see me or msgump (Judy) at Woodward this weekend or send us a PM.
This looks like a really good side trip following Woodward.............

I am currently up in Mackinaw City with Harbor (Jim&Karen) msgump (Judi) and James1549 (James&Tammy)
We are touring the upper peninsula of Michigan over the next few days.

I like how James' car is looking!
There are several reasons (some of them nostalgic) that I wish I'd come along on this one. The U.P. is where we vacationed when I was a teen. The pics of the bridge bring back fond memories of mom and dad (both have been gone for over 10 years now).
I'll bet it isn't 95F up THERE, is it?
